Norwegian bassist Mats Eilertsen has been a distinctive presence on recordings by the likes of Tord Gustavsen, Trygve Seim, Mathias Eick, Nils Økland and Jakob Young and has recorded for amongst others ECM and Hubro. He has also maintained several projects of his own, including his own trio, now in its 10th year of existence. The trio of Eilertsen, drummer Thomas Strønen, and Dutch pianist Harmen Fraanje is a delight to see and hear live, and they provide the same chemistry in the studio.
